Steaming the hair is one of the best ways of getting your hair completely moisturized, improving elasticity, and increasing the strength of the hair. Getting you hair steamed involves the use of moist heat on the hair.
Steaming the hair opens up the hair's cuticle allowing deep conditioners to penetrate the scalp, resulting in added strength, softeness of the hair, healthier looking hair, less breakage and increased hair growth
Steam the hair once a week not more, too much steaming will cause your hair to become too soft and limp leading to breakage.
Things you'll need:
Microwave safe bowl filled with water
Microwave
Towel
Hand gloves
Deep conditioner
Plastic cap
How to steam your hair
1. Wet your hair.
2. Add you deep conditioner, it could be virgin coconut oil
3. Leave the conditioner on the hair for about 5minutes
4. Place a towel in the bowl of water
5. Heat the bowl in the microwave for 2minutes
6. Put on the gloves
7. Take out the towel squeeze the excess water out.
8. Place the towel on your hair
9. Put on your plastic cap
10. Steam your hair for 20-30minutes
CAUTION
Be careful when placing the towel on your hair. Do not steam the hair for more than 30minutes, too much moisture can weaken the hair.
