Use coconut oil as your deep conditioner?

There's nothing like the natural stuff. If your hair is damaged, dry, has lice, has dandruff, falls off, has split ends... well coconut oil is the right remedy.

Types of coconut oil
There are two types of coconut oil sold, the refined and the unrefined. I will always tell you to go for the unrefined products. Go for unrefined coconut oil, as the refined one has some of the natural nutrients stripped off. The unrefined coconut oil can be found as virgin coconut oil.

Benefits of coconut oil

1. Has anti-fungal properties. This will help you to not only remove the dandruff but for a long period of time, your hair will be dandruff free. It works better than any other anti-dandruff products out there.

2 . Moisturizer. If your hair is dry, use unrefined coconut oil. Coconut oil will lock in moisture in your hair and scalp.

3. Conditioner. Coconut oil can be used as a deep conditioner. When used, it leaves your hair feeling soft and makes it look shiny and healthier.

4. Repairs split ends. If the amount of split ends in your hair is not much, coconut oil will repair the end, merging them back together. However, if your spilt ends are too much, the only remedy is to trim it. Becareful to use a very sharp scissors as if not well trimmed can result in more split ends.

5. Reduces hair loss. Coconut oil has no side effects. products with their side effects are one of the reasons you are losing your hair. Replacing your harsh products with coconut oil will reduce hair loss considerably.

6. Removes lice. Just as it removes dandruff, it will remove the lice in your hair, just apply it to your wet hair and comb out.

7. Hair growth. Coconut oil with its many vitamins will give the hair what it need to promote hair growth.

How to apply coconut oil to the hair.

1. Get your unrefined coconut oil.

2. Scope out 4 tablespoons of the solid coconut oil, into a glass cup

3. I will advice you  NOT to heat it up with a microwave as we want to preserve the nutrients.

4. Place the glass cup into warm water, coconut oil melts easily

5. Pour the coconut oil into your hair starting from the scalp and massage towards the tip. Don't worry if it's too much as you will wash it out later.

6. Unlike many products that damage the hair if left for too long on the hair, coconut oil can be left overnight as the longer you leave it the better the results, but don't exceed a day.

7. Cover up your hair with a plastic wrap or an old clothe and sleep with it.

8. Shampoo thoroughly in the morning with an organic
shampoo that will cause less damage to the hair
Add this to your weekly hair care routine, repeat it about 3 times a month or more, be consistent so as to see good results
